We Wish you a Merry Christmas - was the best known by all. Followed by Jingle Bells and Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer! Teachers enjoyed the Holiday Cheer and Cookies. Girl Scouts enjoyed song and friends :) (cookies too of course) First picture is our girls that caroled, Second is of all girls and third is the best girl of them all!!
While visiting a Girl Scout Alumni's house, the Brownies learned about many Christmas Traditions, the 1st Santa Clause, and enjoyed a yummy Christmas cookie and a cup wassil. Mrs Clause also read the girls "Twas the Night Before Christmas".
Controled Chaos! That's what it was. Thank you the mom's that stayed to help us accomplish our goal today! WE DID IT! Tomorrow we will deliver the lunches - which I know will be appreciated. Thanks to all who dontated goods and time. This was a great project and learning experince for the girls.
We visited the 1st Public Schoolhouse in OK Territory as a part of our current Try-it - Listening to the Past. It was a nice day for a walk on Veterns Day.
We visited the grave yard as a part of our "listening to the past" try-it. The girls looked for the oldest headstone in the cemetery, unusual names and did rubbing's of the headstones. During snack time I read them a Pecos Bill ghost story. It was a beautiful day.
We decorated pumpkins and made spiders for our Fall Craft.
The girls enjoyed this Halloween Celebration! Rather than paint, we used stickers, ribbon and leaves to decorate the pumpkins. The spiders with their webs turned out quite creepy!
Luke has been a part of our troop for 4 years now (and he's only 6)! He's participated in all of the activities that he could and has always been a good little helper. Next year he'll get to be a Boy Scout, but he surely knows the scouting ropes by now. Thanks Luke!
